The world economy
enters a new era after recovering from decades of economic turmoil.
Hideo Abe incorporates Fuji-Keizai to support the marketing industry.
Mass production and consumption, new capital flows, wider product
choice, evolution of distribution systems and the mass media that
support diffusion of these processes inevitably demand new types
of information services in Japan. |
|
1969
|
Fuji Keizai creates
new terminology (in Japanese) such as `industry specific distribution',
`voluntary chain', `sales strategies' and `toiletry goods', that
become popular throughout the industry. F.M.C. is established to
specialize in research on how to expand the IT products market. |
|

as F.S.R. is incorporated in 1970 to research these issues. Kyoiku
Hyoronsha is set up in 1973 with the purpose of gathering and publishing
education related information. The Mideast War of Yom Kippur triggers
a quadruple price hike of crude oil and a new awareness of efficient
energy and natural resource use becomes evident. Abe Research Institute
is established in 1979 to research ocean ecology, fish farming and
aquatic culture with the help of oceanographers to lead new responsiveness
to new industry and consumer demand. |
|
1980-1989
|
Maturing consumer
behavior motivates incorporation of F.C.C. in 1980, specializing
in areas of consumer awareness surveys. The kick-off of North American
operations takes place in 1989, with Fuji-Keizai U.S.A. |
|
1990-1995
|
In 1992, Fuji Keizai
Co., Ltd. celebrates its 30th anniversary, on the occasion of which
some operations of F.S.R. and F.K.I. are integrated into a new corporation,
Fuji Chimera Research Institute. Zhonglian Fuji Keizai Consulting
starts business operations in China from 1993 and is incorporated
in Beijing, China, in 1994. Zhonglian FK is a partnership with Zhonglian
Economic & Technology Development Corporation. |
|
1996-1997
|
In 1996, Asian
Center Fuji-Keizai is opened in Bangkok, Thailand (terminated after

|
1998-2000
|
Online dB access
has been conducted through the Internet (http://www.fuji-keizai.co.jp)
since 1998, emphasizing a new service of bidirectional globalization
(from/ into Japan) consulting. Looking toward 2000, a new multimedia
corporate identity is being formed. |
